Hi.

I'm documenting my journey to motherhood while sharing my favorites and tips along the way. I'm so glad you're here.

January {Project Life} Scrapbook Pages

January {Project Life} Scrapbook Pages

I have wanted to get back into memory keeping for years. In 2014, I completed a fun album using the Project Life system. I loved it! It was a great experience and felt so much less overwhelming than “traditional” scrapbooking.

I have missed having a creative hobby outside of photography, and I think a family year book/scrapbook will be the perfect remedy for that. Scrapbooking was such a big part of my life growing up, and I absolutely LOVED it.

Instead of the physical product, I’m doing my pages right on my phone using the Project Life app, so easy! I love it. I can combine images I’ve taken with my DSLR {thanks to the Lightroom App and syncing collections between my laptop and phone} and snapshots from the iPhone. I feel like digital memory keeping has gone so much farther in the past few years. I love the simplicity and ease of it.

In 2014, my pages were a little more detailed and ornate, I used the Studio Calico kits that you get once a month. Those were so fun, but I know if I had them now I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my pages. In my first album, I documented a page per month, but this time I’m attempting weekly pages.

I’m using a few kits: Block Party, Cottage Living, Kraft, Midnight Edition, and the Project P52 Daring Edition Month Overlays. These days I’m drawn to super simple, almost sparse pages. I’m hoping they’ll look less trendy in the years to come.

I’ve created an inspiration board on Pinterest here to help inspire me.

To help hold myself accountable, I’m committing to working on these pages each Sunday and posting monthly updates here on the blog.

I plan to print these and have them in 12x12 page protectors with smaller pages to include things like: Christmas cards, announcements, larger prints, and other paraphernalia. I’ll probably end up using simple black 12x12 leather albums, just like I did for the scrapbooks I created in college. I love how they look all lined up.

Here are my pages for January 2019! I love the pops of teal and red that I’m seeing here :)

I'd love to see you over on Instagram, follow along with my daily photos here:
